In Essentials of Organizing, we cover:
- Methods of change and what community organizing is
- ReflectIng on our own lives and stories to understand why we are in the fights we're in
- Examine our networks for opportunities to build with others
- Learn how to connect with our neighbors in a deeper way that reveals our intersections for solidarity to build a better future
The training will be virtual over zoom across several hours on a Sunday afternoon with breaks. There will be two trainers and while the training will be in a big group, there will be opportunities for paired work and small group work.
This training also sets you up to attend our political education training and more in depth skills training, Organizing 101 in 2021.
