Join us on October 14, at 8:15am at City Hall (121 N. LaSalle) for a press conference and rally ahead of City Council voting on the fate of renter protections in Chicago. This is also the day of the Mayor's Budget Address, so we will also be turning out with our allies in the People's Unity Platform to fight for our budget demands this day! This will be a packed day in City Hall for people over profits!
Then we will pack the chambers of City Council so alderpeople know we are paying attention to who will champion renter protections during the vote on the renters' ordinance. It is hard to predict when the vote will be. We'll be grateful for you to stay for as long as you can. We'll make arrangements for snacks and lunch if the council meeting goes long.
Wear your orange shirts! If you're staying for city council meeting, please do your best not to bring large backpacks with you, as they're not allowed into city council chambers.
