North Star is our annual fundraising event and campaign, a time for us to reflect on all we have accomplished together as a community in the last year and to come together in hope and determination for the future. We ask our community to support us with donations and sponsorships, to sustain our work in the coming year. Your support is crucial to ONE Northside's work and mission.
2025 was our most powerful year ever, as we faced unprecedented challenges and saw incredible growth in response:
- Facing massive budget cuts at every level of government, we organized to win major victories for our communities, including Green Social Housing and Green Schools!
- With gentrification and displacement accelerating across the North Side, we won the fight to save the Leland Building, keeping 130 affordable units in Uptown and all tenants able to stay in their homes!
- As authoritarianism intensifies, we picked up the pace of our work, hosting more than 150 trainings, meetings and community events, culminating in a massive Town Hall in November where more than 500 community members stood and committed to join the fight against billionaires, big tech and big corporations!
- When ICE and CBP attacked our vulnerable neighbors, we jumped into community defense, and now coordinate over 150 rapid response volunteers across four neighborhoods and more than 500 volunteers in a vast mutual aid network across the North Side.
