North Star is our annual fundraising event and campaign, a time for us to reflect on all we have accomplished together as a community in the last year and to come together in hope and determination for the future. We ask our community to support us with donations and sponsorships, to sustain our work in the coming year. Your support is crucial to ONE Northside's work and mission.
This year we have made incredible strides in expanding our work, and with your help we can do even more:
- Saved the Leland Building, with all 137 units preserved as affordable housing and no tenants displaced
- Supported the Good News/Becovic Tenants Union as they successfully organized for their rights
- Secured a promise for Green Schools in Chicago Public Schools' 5 Year Plan
- Launched our Climate Bank organizing work with partners across the state, a campaign that can unlock millions in green funding for our communities
- Expanded our Parent Mentor program into 8 schools across the North Side
- Provided critical on-the-ground violence prevention in Uptown, Rogers Park and neighboring communities
